What a great month March has been! It must be the luck of the Irish! I've made so many new friends in the songwriting community and have caught up with a bunch of old good ones too. And I have lots of news to share:
I placed as one of four finalists at the Eddie's Attic Songwriter Open Mic -I did not advance to the finals but it was an honor indeed, and such a magical night with two very special guest performers: Sarah Rachele and Ben Taylor! I performed right after Ben Taylor which was absolutely amazing. Luke Mitchem and Vonstranz moved on to the final shootout - a well deserved win on both counts!
I had the opportunity to perform up in Helen for St. Patrick's Day weekend at the Hayloft Tavern-- always an awesome night on the deck there with both my favorite locals and travelers from all over.
I've hosted a couple Singer Songwriter Nights in Marietta at local venues, The Place and Jimmy Mac's, opening the show for some fabulous performers; I had a fun show at Whole Foods Avalon in Alpharetta, and I have attended several new open mics, meeting and playing with amazing artists.
I've been invited to play in the Sandy Springs Artsapalooza Festival on 4/18/15 as well as the 500 Songs for Kids Event at the Vinyl on 4/18/15 - that will be one magical day!
I had a photo shoot with Atlantahotshots.com and love how the pictures turned out.
My music facebook page, Jeannie Caryn Music, has almost doubled in likes just this month. Thank you! If you haven't yet done so, please visit and "like" that page-- the number of likes is a tool used by venues/festivals for booking -- your support is much appreciated!.
Finally, I'll be ending the month by competing in the Finals at the Tin Roof Cantina Acoustic Showdown at Tin Roof Cantina in Brookhaven. I'd so love to see you there! Your vote will certainly make a difference.
I'm excited to see what will happen next!
Happy Spring Everyone!
