March Madness!

3-19-15

What a great month March has been! It must be the luck of the Irish!   I've made so many new friends in the songwriting community and have caught up with a bunch of old good ones too.  And I have lots of news to share:

I placed as one of four finalists at the Eddie's Attic Songwriter Open Mic -I did not advance to the finals but it was an honor indeed, and such a magical night with two very special guest performers: Sarah Rachele and Ben Taylor!  I performed right after Ben Taylor which was absolutely amazing.   Luke Mitchem and Vonstranz moved on to the final shootout - a well deserved win on both counts!

I had the opportunity to perform up in Helen for St. Patrick's Day weekend at the Hayloft Tavern-- always an awesome night on the deck there with both my favorite locals and travelers from all over.

I've hosted a couple Singer Songwriter Nights in Marietta at local venues, The Place and Jimmy Mac's, opening the show for some fabulous performers; I had a fun show at Whole Foods Avalon in Alpharetta, and I have attended several new open mics, meeting and playing with amazing artists.

I've been invited to play in the Sandy Springs Artsapalooza Festival on 4/18/15 as well as the 500 Songs for Kids Event at the Vinyl on 4/18/15 - that will be one magical day!

I had a photo shoot with Atlantahotshots.com and love how the pictures turned out.

My music facebook page, Jeannie Caryn Music, has almost doubled in likes just this month. Thank you!  If you haven't yet done so, please visit and "like" that page-- the number of likes is a tool used by venues/festivals for booking -- your support is much appreciated!.

Finally, I'll be ending the month by competing in the Finals at the Tin Roof Cantina Acoustic Showdown at Tin Roof Cantina in Brookhaven. I'd so love to see you there! Your vote will certainly make a difference.

I'm excited to see what will happen next!

Happy Spring Everyone!

Autumn 2012

Happy Fall everyone. The leaves in my yard are already falling and today looks like another beautiful day. Hopefully, the social networks will not explode with evil as we get closer and closer to the election. I for one, am focusing on what I can control. I'm excited about all of my music projects especially. I have several performances coming up at local festivals and I'm excited to be playing up in Helen, Georgia three weekends this October for Octoberfest! Woot. Additionally, I'm setting goals to have a few writing projects under way and look forward to sharing some of those with you soon as well. Happy Sunday -- if you're reading political posts or watching football, heed Mark Twain's advice.. "When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear."

Independence!!!!!!!

Hey all, It's a time for us all to celebrate our INDEPENDENCE, in whatever form that takes for us all. For me, it's been about the music---I've been focused on writing and playing everywhere I can where people will listen. I have LOVED playing at Eddie Owen's new venue, Red Clay Theatre, for the Songwriter Showcase. I was lucky enough to play the first two weeks and will play next Monday night there as well. I've had wonderful opportunities to play all over town here in Atlanta and today am excited to venture out of state up to Nashville to play Jack Scott's Songwriter Showcase at the Hotel Indigo in Downtown Nashville. Woot!! Click this link to watch the performances--I play around 9:30PM along with two buddies, Stephen Crowson and Greg Shaddix! Lolli is packed and ready to go so I'll be sure to post pictures of her first trip! Hope all of you have a free and joyous Independence Day!! Cheers!

3-26-2012 -----STREETFEST!

Streetfest 2012 was fantastic --awesome weather, awesome music, awesome crowd, awesome artistic displays. It was also my daughter's ninth birthday and she LOVED spending it at Streetfest.

I've added pics and videos to the website so take a look.

Up next for me is a solo acoustic set at Caribou Coffee on April 6th, but I'll be out to the open mics between now and then.

Cheers! javascript:void(0)
